Amy Magnus - Lantis Endowment Recipient
Chico State University has announced the recipients of its annual Lantis Endowed University Chairs, honoring faculty whose work demonstrates excellence, creativity, and community impact. This year, we’re thrilled to see BDEP’s very own Amy Magnus, recognized for her outstanding work in justice, advocacy, and community engagement!
The Lantis Endowed University Chairs were established through a generous $2 million gift from former geography professor David Lantis and his wife Helen. Their gift created a lasting legacy that supports Chico State faculty in advancing innovative research, creative projects, and student-centered learning. Each year, selected faculty receive special funding to help drive their work—whether that’s through research, travel, equipment, student stipends, or a summer salary.
These prestigious awards embody Chico State’s commitment to connection, excellence, and innovation, empowering faculty like Amy Magnus to make a transformative impact on students, communities, and the world.
