Community Outreach

Community building is central to BDEP's mission—we have to see each other to help one another. That's why BDEP is always seeking opportunities to engage with and learn from the people in our local community who are most impacted by the criminal legal system.

As part of these ongoing outreach efforts, BDEP recently co-hosted a storytelling event with Bonfire that highlighted the powerful experiences of individuals who have navigated the criminal legal system and gone on to rebuild their lives. By creating space for stories of resilience, growth, and transformation, the event fostered connection, understanding, and hope.
